What’s in a Prayer?

Mar-8-2008 By admin

For the past months, I could hardly set enough time to pray consistently due to hectic schedule as in so many engagements. Thank God the theme for the month of the devotional i have been reading is about prayer.(Well, reading short verses is one thing that I cannot live without in my daily life) I have learned to ask God to help me in my prayer life. I have realized that I simply need to be faithful to pray whenever He brings prayer-worthy subjects to my mind. God also enlightened me that He can make me joyful in His house of prayer. It is not boring.

Know what’s in a prayer? Joy…yes, and one of my greatest joys is praying the seemingly impossible things! Oh, I do thank Him for His persistent invitation to join Him in prayer and for answering even the impossible because truly all things are possible in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Try to make Him your daily mate and date and you will feel the real joy that you have never been felt before.

I Don’t Know Why?

Feb-7-2008 By admin

I don’t know why Jesus loved me
I don’t know why He cared
I don’t know why He sacrificed His life
Oh, but I’m glad so glad He did.

Where would I be if Jesus didn’t love me
Where would I be if Jesus didn’t care
Where would I be if He hadn’t sacrifice His life
Oh, but I’m glad so glad He did.

These are two stanzas taken from a song I’ve searched thru the cyberspace.
It is so real to me. I really wonder how much Jesus loves me and everyone. I am so amazed that He cares for a sinner like me. Yes, I do feel it for I cannot survive my daily fight without Him. Oh, I definitely thank God for the wonderful love he had lavished on me. His love is more than enough. This is true! It is my prayer that everyone who will read this blog will feel that kind of love.

The Joy of Friendship

Nov-11-2007 By admin

Friends may come and go. When they come, it is a pleasure for me. When they go, i believe they leave a sweet memory. Keeping friends is one of the exciting events in one’s life. Being with them is joyous moment. Laughing together, talking about anything under the sun, sharing even the very secrets of life and of course, eating together.

I missed those days when it was still so easy to be where my friends are. We still seemed to have similar interests. Time came when we had to let go of each other. When we lead separate ways and pursue different careers. So, it became so hard to meet and jam.

Two weeks ago, i had the chance to meet some of my old friends. It was almost impossible to set the date. I invited them to our abode. It was getting late in the afternoon and I would still have grocery the next day. But I did not want to let this chance go without seeing them. All excuses must be defeated except a confession from them that they do not want to come.

It was physically tiring but it was worth the effort because when they left i felt so glad that after many years we still tried to meet. Nevertheless, I realized that setting time with friends, particularly the old ones, became a sacrifice now. It was a pleasurably sacrifice. Even if it was hard, we still tried.

Such moment becomes another page in my Friendship Story.Nothing can really compare with the Joy of Friendship. The joy never fades.

The Fear of God

Nov-1-2007 By admin

It was a pleasure for me to speak to the youth in a simple program last week. It was not easy because I have been in such stage and i know how sensitive young people are. But i fervently prayed for grace, strength and wisdom that i may boldly and excellently conveyed the Word of God for these youngsters.

God had brought into my mind the most common crimes that are happening now not only in one nation but in every nation. Killings, illegal drug addiction, alcoholism, thief and untimely marriage. Those are just some of the heartbreaking things encountered by our young people. Undeniably, immorality is rampant among the young force. And this is so burdensome to elders specifically, their parents.

I asked God “what do these young people need nowadays?” God gave me His Word in Proverbs 14:26 “The Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom”. Yes, the Divine or Holy Fear must be inculcated to men and women while they are young so it will be carried as they grow up. The fear of God will make them wise and strong. It will definitely prepare them to face the real world with godly confidence. The fear of God will ultimately make them successful.

This blog is for His glory

It’s been quite a while that I didn’t write anything to keep this blog going. Now I fervently decided to continue this blog for the glory of the Almighty God.

Jesus Christ is so good to me that I can’t stop writing about His goodness and greatness. His love never ceases.

I am always getting away with Him yet his love continously surrounds me. This blog must continue in Jesus’ Name.
